Oftentimes when people talk about a church we form a mental image of a church building even though the church is not a building. When people speak of Bright Hope Community Church many will visualize our physical building. BHCC is not a building...we are people. We are not a collection of isolated individuals...we are a community...within the Meridian community.
We are a community called together by God's Spirit as His unique possession into a united body of Christ, living a common life with distinction. American society as a whole values individualism where discipline, inner strength and fortitude are qualities we develop on our own. We believe that God's plan is to develop qualities in individuals' and families' lives through relationships that are developed in community.
As a community our goal is to be interdependent upon one another's giftedness and abilities as we worship, pray, teach, learn, share each other's joys and burdens, and grow together. The unity of our community gives credence to our message of Christ and power to our common mission to spread Christ's love to the people in the Meridian community.
We believe God placed us at the very center of His plan to bring light and hope to the Meridian community and beyond by loving God and loving people...one person at a time. |
