Worship

Each Sunday is a time of corporately connecting with our God and Savior through worship - it is a time to extend the personal and private worship that has taken place during the week. Each aspect of our service is a different form of worship: worship in song, worship through prayer, worship in fellowship, worship in giving, worship in teaching and studying God's word. Because we are created by God and we are created for God, worship should be integrated into everything we do - our lifestyle!

Music is a key ingredient to worship. Music can stir our souls to know Him more, it can convict us of sin, it can draw us to Him, it can draw others to Him, and God loves to hear our praise and adoration through music! Because of these and other reasons, music is an integral part of what we do at Bright Hope.

A NOTE FROM OUR WORSHIP LEADER

We are all wired with a need to worship, and we all do worship someone or something. We all have different pulls from so many different directions, but the sum of all of these pulls pales in comparison to the pull of Jesus Christ on our lives. Some feel it more strongly than others - some are extremely sensitive to God's direction in their lives - others have allowed "idols" to take the place of Christ in their lives - and others have not yet experienced the life-changing power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Where are you? Who or what is the object of your worship?

At Bright Hope, our purpose is "to introduce people to Jesus Christ and to assist believers in becoming passionate followers of Him." Notice the phrase "followers of Him". We are not desiring for people to become passionate about a certain style of music or a certain way of "doing" church - we truly want to see people become passionate followers of Jesus Christ - to love Him deeply and to worship Him fervently. We strive to live out our passion for Him in every part of our lives. Music is simply one of the avenues that God has created for us to demonstrate our love to Him and to bring glory to Himself. We love music, but we are careful to make sure that music is not the object of our worship, but that Jesus Christ is.

If you are looking for a place where you can come and experience who God is and what He has done through His Son, I invite you to come to Bright Hope.
